Information that we need to tell everybody

  • For any issues regarding the processing of your personal data you may contact the Companies Data Protection Officer at: dpo@eurolife.gr

    • You have the right to know which of your personal data are kept and processed by the Company as well as their origin.
    • You have the right to ask for your data to be rectified or completed, so that they are complete and accurate, by submitting documents that indicate the need for completion or correction..
    • You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data or to object to any further processing of your personal data. Satisfaction of these requests entails the automatic termination of your policy or policies, in accordance with the relevant policy terms. Provided that the data are necessary for the conclusion or the execution of the policy  regardless of whether  the data have been provided by you or by a third party.
    • Additionally, you have the right to request the transfer of the data that you have provided to us to another company.
    • You have the right to obtain the erasure of your personal data, on condition that the aforementioned retention periods have expired and that these data do not concern the conclusion and the execution of your policy and the proof of rights and obligations deriving directly or indirectly from the policy.

    Companies will take all possible measures to satisfy your requests and to respond to you within thirty (30) days and, in the event that this is not possible, the Companies will inform you about the extension of this period, which will not exceed a total of sixty (60) additional days. Exercising your rights is free of charge and may only be charged in cases of proven abuse of your right, which entails extra management expenses for the Companies.

    You also have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr) if you believe that your rights are being infringed in any way.

  • The Companies have an Information Security Management System in place in order to ensure the appropriate level of protection of your personal data. Additionally, the Companies have adopted cutting-edge technical and organizational controls.

    • Management and employees of the Company, who are responsible for the administration and performance of the insurance policy (policies).
    • Third Parties that we cooperate with i.e. experts, researchers, road assistance companies, damage repair companies, hospitals and diagnostic centers, courier companies, consultants of all kinds (legal, financial, etc.), individuals or legal entities, as well as providers of IT application development and maintenance services, on condition that they are subject to confidentiality clauses.
    • Other insurance or/and re-insurance companies, which have a legitimate interest.  
    • Insurance Brokers when they are acting either as Processors on our behalf or as Controllers, provided that they have a legal base for the processing.
    • The Statistics Database (ΥΣΑΕ) of the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies.
    • In the event of a car accident, personal data may be transmitted to the corresponding insurance company through the Electronic Service of the Immediate Payment System (Σ.Α.Π.).
    •  In special cases, whether for the purpose of defending the rights of the Company, or for the purposes of complying with applicable laws or court decisions or decisions of the Data Protection Authority or other Independent Authorities, your data may be transmitted to debtor information companies (Law 3758 / 2009, as in force), lawyers, bailiffs, courts and prosecutors, government agencies, as well as their officers, and any other third parties. According to the  foregoing, any access to the data is limited to the extent necessary for the achievement of the objective pursued.

  • The Customer Records of the companies "Eurolife FFH Life Insurance Societe Anomyme" and "Eurolife FFH General Insurance Societe Anonyme" that contain identification data and contact data of the Data Subject (full name, father’s name, mother's name, gender, ID or passport, home address, contact details and VAT ID) are interconnected, in accordance with Decision No. 81/2017 of the Data Protection Authority. The produced record is kept by the parent company of the insurance companies mentioned above under the corporate name «Eurolife FFH Insurance Group Holdings Societe Anonyme ». Access to this file is provided to the competent divisions of the aforementioned (subsidiary) companies for the purpose of risk assessment and management at group level, as well as for the unified service of their customers and for the customers’ update on new insurance products and services.

  • The Company, in the framework of its compliance with the provisions regarding automatic exchange of tax information as they arise from international obligations of Greece and have been ratified by Greek law, may transmit your personal data to the competent Greek authorities in order to be forwarded to the corresponding third country authorities. The Company may transmit data outside the European Union provided that appropriate guarantees are in place either of an adequacy decision by the European Commission or of signed Standard Contractual Clauses.

  • The Privacy Notice is provided in simple language so that a person at least 15 years of age can understand its main points.
    Minors' data is collected either in the context of an insurance application and/or service contract or in the event of their involvement in an insurance event. Minors data are processed in the manner described in this notice, depending on the role of the natural person in the processing.

  • Your contact information, obtained through insurance and service contracts, may be used, whether directly or not, to promote our other products or services based on our legitimate interest, both by Eurolife FFH Life Insurance Societe Anomyme and by Eurolife FFH General Insurance Societe Anonyme based on the combination of records, as described in the Interconnection of Companies' Clients Records section. In any case, communication will be conducted with respect to your rights and freedoms and only if you have not previously objected to it.
    As part of the promotion of services and products, we may use all means of communication you have made available to us, including your phone numbers, your e-mail address and the postal address you have provided.


    In cases where there is no customer relationship with the Companies, the processing of data by us and/or by third parties who perform the processing on our behalf, with a view to informing you about or promoting the products and services of the Companies or their affiliates will only take place if you give your consent.
    You may also receive direct marketing content during your interaction with our services to which you have previously been connected with relevant credentials (username/password).
    In any case, you have the right to object to targeted and direct marketing through any of the communication channels provided in the Contactor section of the Contact Information or by exercising your rights as described in your Privacy Notice.
